When perhaps all it does is to leave a dent in one's pocket?
Or apparently reduces one in stature?
Why should we even bother to pray?
Seeing that to many it is probably just an empty racket?
Generating no results for any to measure?
It is characteristic of human beings to be humane
An important trait that distinguishes us from other creatures
Firstly to our own, and then to others around
We are lifted when our charitable deeds do not wane
We become more like our benevolent and loving Creator
Consequently, our joy more bountifully abounds.
When life sucks and it looks like all hope is lost
And everything is dim and bleak because you got an evil prognosis
When you are weak and life throws you a curve ball
Do the good you still can do, though you may be at your worst
It will surely lead to a new, better, and bright diagnosis
For with God you can recover, recover all and again walk tall.
